A Day For You

Things to consider when hiring a DJ

A Day For You Weddings

A DJ is a big part in having your day filled with good memories or not enjoying themselves because the music was distasteful to them.
  1. What experience does your DJ have doing weddings?
  2. Will they work with your to tailor the music to what you, your family and your friends like without an extra charge to do so?
  3. Are things like Emcee the events and wireless mics for toasts a part of their price?
  4. Do they know good dance music for all ages?
  5. Do they have "clean" versions of songs?
  6. Is their price for extra time in the contact?
  7. Do they attempt to "Up Charge" you on time and equipment when interviewing them?
  8. Are they a licensed business with the State of Washington?
  9. Do they have complaints with the Better Business Bureau?
  10. Is there deposit "fair" to hold the date and the balance due when services are rendered?
  11. Are they timely with their communication with you and show up on time for your meeting?

I am on my ninth year of being a DJ. I do all types of events but my main focus is weddings. Weddings are different than being a "Club DJ". People visit the clubs that fit their musical taste. Your guest will have many different taste in music and a season DJ knows how to play for the crowd so people have a good time dancing and have upbeat dinner music.

I include tailoring your music, Emcee your events, keep the wedding time line on track and included use of wireless microphones for toasts at no extra charge. I have a flat fee for up to 5 hours.  If you want additional time, you only pay for any additional extra time if you use it and the price is in our contract.

Not all DJ dance and so they don't know good dance music. I've gotten good feedback on the music I tailor for my clients.

I'm a licensed business with the State of Washington and is under the name ~ you Funny Lady ~ (I do some stand-up comedy ~ hence the name). Be aware of hiring people who are not licensed. Every year I get calls from people in a panic who cannot "find" their DJ. They’ve paid in Full but their DJ is nowhere to be found. I have not complaints with the Better Business Bureau
